The Authors I Own The Most Books From

(Coming up with a title for this post was hard. I feel like everything I tried sounds so awkward.)

Maybe I'm weird, but I always think it's so interesting to know which authors take up the most space on other people's shelves. And recently I realized, I don't really know which authors take up the most space on MY shelves. I mean, obviously I had an idea, but I thought I'd do a definitive count and share the results with you people! 

Coming in at seventh place (but really tied for sixth) with 5 books is...

As you can see above, I own all 4 books in the Caster Chronicles (co-written with Margaret Stohl), and then the first book in her own series, all of which I have read and enjoyed. I do plan to buy more books by her, like the sequel to Unbreakable, and The Lovely Reckless (her new contemporary book that has not been released yet). Also, I just realized that Dangerous Creatures is a full-length book with a sequel and everything. I thought it was just a novella or something. So obviously I need to buy that too. (The day after scheduling this post, I actually acquired a copy of Dangerous Creatures but I was too lazy to go back & revise). 

Then, in sixth place also with 5 books is...

I own most of Oliver's YA work, with the exception of Vanishing Girls and Replica (which hasn't been released yet). I need to ad those to my collection, and any other YA books that Lauren Oliver puts out. She has several MG & adult books, but I don't have any plans to read those in the foreseeable future. I've read all of these and enjoyed them, but Panic fell a bit flat. 

In fifth place with 6 books is...

I own most of Jenny Han's books, but I'm missing the first book in the Summer series and the third book in the Burn for Burn trilogy (co-written with Siobhan Vivian), both of which I've been trying to buy for a while but can;t find them in the format I want for cheap. I just learned that she also has a MG book that I swear no one talks about. When the newly-announced third book in her To All the Boys series comes out, I will be buying it ASAP. I've devoured all of these! 

In fourth place (but actually tied for third) with 7 books is...

I own most of the books set in the Nightshade world that have been published, except, ya know, Nightshade, which I will buy when I find it in the format I want. I just recently bought The Inventor's Secret, which is the first book in her steampunk series, so I'll probably end up buying the rest of the trilogy (even though the covers don't really match???). Out of all of these, I've only read Wolfsbane, Bloodrose, and Invisibility. I should probably get on that. 

In third place also with 7 books...

MY QUEEN. I am working on owning all her books. I'm still 5 away from a complete collection. Of course I've read every book she has put out. 

In second place with 9 books...

It's honestly impossible to keep up with all of Clare's books because she has like novella bind-ups and a codex and graphic novels and who knows what else. She also has a MG series. My main concern is getting a copy of City of Bones so I can re-read The Mortal Instruments series (as I haven't finished the last two books). I also haven't read Lady Midnight yet, but I will soon. 

AND COMING IN FIRST PLACE WITH 11 BOOKS...

Richelle Mead has written a lot of books for adults and young adults. While I do want to read/own them, I've heard they are not very good. I don't have the last two books in the Bloodlines series yet, but I will. The only book on this list I haven't read yet is The Fiery Heart, and I want to re-read the VA series and the beginning of the Bloodlines series before I do that. So it might be a while.

This post was a lot of fun! All of these authors are among my favorites, and I ended up doing quite a bit of research to figure out exactly what books I don't own and haven't read and which ones I want to, so it was really helpful.

Sunday Post #20

• Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope y'all are having a wonderful week. I say this every Sunday Post, but it has been a good week for me. 
• On Wednesday, I went to Kansas City with my best friend/roommate to see Kian Lawley and Jc Caylen (YouTubers) on tour. It was incredible! I love love love them, and it was so surreal to see them live. I rode in a car for 8 hours (4 hours there and back) and stood on my feet for 5 hours. I got really angry at someone else there so I told her off, but I also made some new friends. My feet were aching by the end and I thought I was about to die of dehydration, but it was still such a fantastic experience. 
• That same day, I got a ticket to see Twenty One Pilots (my favorite band on the planet) August 3rd and I almost cried tears of joy. I was supposed to have an internship this summer in Florida, so I wasn't sure if I would be back in Arkansas in time for the concert, so I didn't buy tickets. By the time I found out my internship had fallen through, tickets were sold out, so I was incredibly lucky that one of my friends was selling an extra ticket. 
• Then, on Thursday, another friend invited me to go see Bill Maher (a comedian) in Kansas City on the 7th. All of a sudden my summer got adventurous. 
• However, I would really appreciate it if you could send some prayers/positive vibes my way. I've faced some dilemmas with my financial aid paperwork, and if I don't get it turned in on time (August 1) I lose my academic scholarship...which means I have no idea how I would pay for college. Fingers crossed that it all works out. 

(Sorry that was so long. I didn't mean to give you my entire life story)

I feel like I've never seen anyone talk about Andrea Cremer's steampunk book. I don't even know if I like steampunk, but I know I like Andrea Cremer, so when I saw it in Book Outlet I was all over it. ● ● ● What are your favorite steampunk books??

I discovered Morgan Matson's incredible books this year and my life hasn't been the same since. I also found out that she writes more books under the name Katie Finn and I'm so excited to have more books by such an incredible writer. ● ● ● What awesome new authors have you discovered this year??

Top Ten Books I Picked Up On A Whim

Even though, as bloggers, we most likely read more book reviews than the average bear (I do. I know some bloggers don't like to read reviews of books they haven't read), and we tend to know more about books we haven't read than the average bear. However, sometimes it's fun to pick up a book I don't know much about and just dive in. Coming up with 10, though, was a lot harder than I thought it would be. 

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven - I read this on my blogging break. I needed something to read, and I had an ARC on my Kindle, and I just decided to go for it, even though I didn't actually know much about it. Glad I read it! Such an emotional read.

Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson - This one was more recent. It was offered as a free read on the Pulseit website, and I had heard good things about Morgan Matson, so I decided to give it a go, and I LOVED it! I hadn't known anything about it, but now I am a fangirl of all fangirls. Check out my review!

Nightshade by Andrea Cremer - I read this novel YEARS ago, pre-blogging. I saw it at the library and thought the cover was pretty (the original cover, shown above, not the redesign). It turned out to be a fantastic series.

Don't Let Me Go by J.H. Trumble - I am absolutely in love with this book. When I first started blogging, this was going around on an ARC Tour and I was still so enchanted by the idea of ARCs that I signed up even though I had never heard of the book before, and knew nothing about it. It turned out to be a book that was completely out of my comfort zone, and completely amazing. 

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl - Another pre-blogging book I picked up at B&N one day. Still love this series! 

Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley - This is one of the first contemp novels I ever loved! Read this when I first started blogging and haven't stopped being obsessed with it since. Check out my Flashback Friday feature for this novel!

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - My all-time favorite book series, Ever. Of all-time. I saw this at the grocery store when I was in 8th grade, and, in the era of vampire novels, I knew from the title that I needed it. This is more than your average vampire novel, folks. 

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson - I didn't know what this was about when I saw it sitting on the Walmart shelves, but Morgan Matson wrote it, so I knew I needed it. I was not even a little disappointed. Check out my review!

Pushing the Limits - I remember requesting this from Netgalley before it was released, thinking it sounded decent. HOLY COW. It was far more than decent. Katie McGarry bcame one of my new favorite writers with this novel. 

Thicker than Water by Brigid Kemmerer - Thankful for Netgalley introducing me to this gem. I wasn't sure what I had in store for me when I requested it, but I'm glad I did. A bit different than what I'm used to reading, but I enjoyed it through and through. Check out my review!
