WoWzA I can't believe it's already basically June!!!!!! It's kind of scary to realize that the older I get, the quicker time seems to go. And, of course, the more delicious books I want to read that come out. Here are 10 of the many I'm looking forward to during the latter half of the year (and a few from June because they're my most anticipated releases of the year).
Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley - I am in love with Crowley's Graffiti Moon. It is stunning and wonderful--even the second time I read it. And even if this weren't Cath Crowley, this novel sounds perfect for book lovers!
Warcross by Marie Lu - I've never actually read anything by Marie Lu yet, but I've heard she's great, and this one sounds heckin interesting. I just know it's going to be epic and intense and all sorts of good.
There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins - AHHHHHHH. STEPHANIE PERKINS. HORROR NOVEL. NOR WORDS!!!!
Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows - I've only read one of Jodi Meadows's books, but I really enjoyed it. Well, two, if you include My Lady Jane which I loooooooooved. She always has some really interesting ideas and OH YEAH DRAGONS!!!!
Renegades by Marissa Meyer - Okay, I am VERY in love with Heartless. I'm a lil but behind on my Marissa Meyer reading, but eventually I will read EVERYTHING she has ever written. I will blindly trust the woman who brought Jest into my life.
Once and for All by Sarah Dessen - I'm so excited for this I could throw up. I might throw up. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell - I absolutely adored Maxwell's Unhooked so I'm 100% hyped for her next release. Also, look at dat cover. Also, New York. Also, magic and thievery.
The Glass Spare by Lauren DeStefano - Again, I've had good experiences with DeStefano in the past, so I'm really looking forward to whatever she's gonna give the world next. I also know she really wanted to incorporate her OCD and anxiety into this book, and I think it's wonderful.
Into the Black by Ava Jae - THIS IS THE SEQUEL TO BEYOND THE RED AND I AM V V V EXCITED. Aliens and steamy romance and princesses oh my!!
Now I Rise by Kiersten White - Well fuck a duck and call it Chuck because I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS BOOK. If you read my blog/social media this time last year, you'd know I AM ACTUALLY OBSESSED WITH AND I DARKEN and I feel like I've been waiting for this sequel my entire life.

Top Ten Books On My TBR From Before I Started Blogging
Okay, so I'm gonna cheat on this topic. I've been blogging off and on for like 5 years, and I had a blog before this one. But I decided to include titles on my TBR that I haven't read from before I started being more active on this blog (so, like, December of 2015). While compiling this list, I just kept thinking, "Wow, how haven't I read this book yet?"There are some major throwback books on this list!
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kandare Blake - People were raving about this when it first came out, and I love all things spooky so I knew I needed to read it. I bought it, but I still haven't read it. Maybe this October will be my time???
Uprooted by Naomi Novik - I've had this on my Goodreads shelf since November 2015, and I just know that everyone is in love with it. ONE DAY, MY FRIENDS. ONE DAY.
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer - Listen, I read an ARC of Cinder and really enjoyed it. I was so excited for the rest of the series, but I ended up losing track of the series and never got around to reading them, but I WANT TO SO BADLY. I need to buy the entire series and binge read them all.
Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins - I was all over this the second Rachel Hawkins announced this book, having adored her Hex Hall series. Well, now the entire trilogy is released and I still have not read book 1.
Everneath by Brodi Ashton - To be honest, I feel like this novel is kind of irrelevant now. It was really popular when it first came out, but nobody talks about it anymore. GUESS WHAT, THOUGH. I bought the first book a while back and I just recently bought the other 2 books and will I ever read it? The world may never know.
Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers - I OWN THIS ENTIRE TRILOGY...SIGNED. I don't even know how this happened, but it did. I like won the first 2 books signed from different giveaways, and then I figured I might as well buy a signed copy of the last book. I even started reading this book, but I never finished it for some reason.
My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent - I've heard really great things about this series. Some bloggers were saying it was their favorite book series ever. So I added it to my TBR and when I saw the series was being released in volumes, I bought the first 3 (which is the first 6 books) and I still haven't opened them up.
Legend by Marie Lu - I swear, I contemplate reading this book every day of my life. I read part of it a couple years back and loved it, but I think I'm secretly waiting until I acquire the entire trilogy so I can binge-read, but I don't feel like buying the other books. It doesn't really make sense but my brain is a complicated place.
Take Me On by Katie McGarry - I LOVE KATIE MCGARRY SO MUCH THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR THIS.
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - I have no idea what this book is about but I know tons of people are obsessed with it, and even now people talk about it on BookTube all. the. time.
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kandare Blake - People were raving about this when it first came out, and I love all things spooky so I knew I needed to read it. I bought it, but I still haven't read it. Maybe this October will be my time???

Top Ten Backlist Books I Resolve to Read in 2016
I think when you're getting into blogging, it's really common to get wrapped up in upcoming releases and ARCs and forget about all the marvelous old releases that you never got around to reading. Maybe that's just me, though. So for this resolution post, I'm going to talk about the backlist titles I have been dying to read for a while now! I tried to pick ones I already own because that increases my chances of actually reading them!
Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead - It's rare for me to feature an adult title on the blog, but I worship Richelle Mead and I've heard her adult work is really good!
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - I need to read everything by this author, basically.
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey - I've had this one on my shelf for quite some time, and the more movie trailers I see for it, the more I want to read it.
Blood Red Road by Moira Young - I'd been wanting to read this one since it came out because everyone seemed to love it, and I just recently got a free ebook, so I definitely need to crack this one open some time this year.
Firelight by Sophie Jordan - I've owned this one for years and I'm not sure why I haven't read it yet because DRAGONS!!!
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken - I loooove Alexandra Bracken's debut novel, and I've owned this one since it came out.
Legend by Marie Lu - I've honestly never heard a bad thing about this book. I got it a couple years ago from my high school's book club and have yet to read the entire thing for some reason. Lauren DeStefano keeps tweeting about this series, so now I just HAVE to read it asap.
Insurgent - I read Divergent years ago and for whatever reason never read the rest of the series. Obviously I need to.
Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers - I actually have all three of these books signed by Lisa, so I'm not sure why I haven't read them yet.
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter - Greek mythology and romance? YES PLS.
Have you read any of these/do you want to read any of these? Tell me what you think. Also, tell me about your 2016 resolutions!
